A total of 179 entries contributed to a healthy \u00a335,980 prize pool, with Corrigan beating Andrew Probyn heads-up for the title after a four-handed deal had seen all the remaining players lock up \u00a35,000, with \u00a34,250 and the title still to be claimed.<\/p>\n
Jatinder Purewal was the man to go out in fourth when Probyn hit a jack on the flop after both players got their chips in pre-flop with Purewal on A-K and Probyn on A-J.<\/p>\n
Ioannis Liperas finished in third place after going all-in with A-K against Corrigan’s jacks, which held to leave Probyn and Corrigan heads-up and agreeing to split the remaining prize money with \u00a3250 and the trophy to the winner. The final hand saw both players get their chips all-in pre-flop with Probyn holding A-K and Corrigan KH-QH and rivering a flush on a 9C-5H-6H-10D-3H board to be crowned Walsall 25\/25 champion.<\/p>\n
Michael Brown went out in fifth place for \u00a31,900 after moving all-in on a K-6-7 board with K-Q but running into Probyn with 6-7 for two pair.<\/p>\n
Clint Jones was the man to exit in sixth for \u00a31,400, with Neil Wyatt picking up \u00a31,140 for seventh place and Vaidas Sirionas collecting \u00a3970 for eighth.<\/p>\n
The first casualty of the final table was Pete Djiallis, who moved all-in pre-flop for 97,000 with an ace but was called by Sirionas, who hit a queen on the flop.<\/p>\n
