George Westwood survived the longest final table ever in the 25\/25 Series to take down the Coventry leg from 28 February-2 March 2014 at the Ricoh Arena. <\/p>\n

Westwood battled it out for 17 hours – from 12 noon on Sunday to 5am on Monday morning \u2013 before beating David Stephenson heads-up to claim the title. <\/p>\n

After a five-way deal was agreed at 2.45am it took more than two hours before the local player from Birmingham eventually took the crown.<\/p>\n

The five-way chop left \u00a31,000 in the pot to play for along with the title and first out was Aleem Kanji, who pocketed \u00a37,290 after winning the Rainbow Masters in Bristol earlier in the month. Kanji added another \u00a37,975 to his burgeoning bankroll and is proving a real force to be reckoned with this year. <\/p>\n

Out in fourth place was Gary Kelly who collected \u00a38,100 from the deal… then Mark McCluskey went to the rail with \u00a37,775 after another nice payday following his fourth place in the 25\/25 Sheffield.<\/p>\n

That left Westwood and Stephenson heads-up, with Westwood scooping the title and \u00a37,700. But Stephenson was the biggest winner, collecting \u00a310,775 after being chip leader when the deal was agreed.<\/p>\n
