December is traditionally the season of Christmas Crackers and this year was no exception with the Unibet Christmas Cracker taking place at Aspers Casino in London from 18-21 December, the North West Christmas Cracker in Bolton at the G Casino on 21 December and the Edinburgh version at the Genting Club from 27-29 December.<\/p>\n
At Aspers in Stratford it was Modestas Skersys who took down the \u00a3200 Unibet event, beating Erol Taylon heads-up to claim the \u00a311,720 top prize.<\/p>\n
In Bolton Greg Hunt topped a field of 630 runners to claim the North West Christmas Cracker, repeating his win in the same event in 2013.<\/p>\n
Hunt pocketed a post-Christmas of bonus after working his way through a final table that included Rob Judge, Atif Malik, Nick Tomsett and Lee Astley.<\/p>\n
The final pair agreed a chop with runner-up Reyaaz Mulla turning his \u00a3100 buy-in into an impressive score of \u00a312,960 with Hunt walking away with \u00a314,500.<\/p>\n
At the Genting Club in Edinburgh Paul McTaggart pulled a cracker worth \u00a38,550, with William Leckie scooping \u00a36,110 as runner-up.<\/p>\n
