The 25\/25 Series was in Blackpool from 7-10 May and it proved a pretty special occasion for Nicholas Todd and Anthony Haughey, who placed first and second after finishing fifth and third respectively the previous week in the Leeds 25\/25 event.<\/p>\n
Todd (pictured above) followed up his \u00a34,000 Leeds payout with a \u00a310,520 score and the title in Blackpool, Haughey adding \u00a310,000 to the \u00a35,500 he collected in Leeds.<\/p>\n
Though Todd took the trophy, the biggest payout in Blackpool went to Andrew Duffy after the final trio agreed a three-way chop at the Sandcastle Casino.<\/p>\n
They played on for an extra \u00a32,520 and the trophy with Todd taking the honours. The final hand was something of a cooler with the chips hitting the middle on a Q-3-3-5 board. Haughey tabled K-Q but his top pair was was behind Todd’s 6-3. The king on the river was no help to Haughey and gave Todd the crown.<\/p>\n
In Leeds the previous weekend, Christopher Howe took the title and \u00a37,000, with Peter Leonard finishing runner-up for \u00a36,240 as a field of 106 runners and 46 re-buys produced a prize pool of \u00a341,200. <\/p>\n
On the same weekend In Luton, a massive 281 runners created a whopping \u00a356,200 prize pool, with Michael Rosaman taking the crown after a three-way deal with Garry\tBush and Driton Haxhiaj. Winner Rosaman bagged \u00a311,650, with Bush runner-up for \u00a311,500 and Haxhiaj third for \u00a310,000.<\/p>\n
