{"id":3424,"date":"2015-07-21T15:08:36","date_gmt":"2015-07-21T15:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.puffapoker.com\/?p=3424"},"modified":"2015-08-16T22:19:39","modified_gmt":"2015-08-16T22:19:39","slug":"mad-turk-first-to-complete-gps-double","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.puffapoker.com\/?p=3424","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Mad Turk&#8217; first to complete GPS double"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yucel Eminoglu, aka \u201cMad Turk&#8221;, became the first Genting Poker Series main event double winner after he took down the GPS Luton event from 15-19 July.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 434 entries in Luton produced an \u00a386,800 prize pool to smash the \u00a330,000 guarantee, with 95 making it through to Sunday\u2019s final day, including Willie Tann, Carlo Citrone and Ellie Biessek.<\/p>\n<p>By the time the tournament reached the final table, Eminoglu was a big chip leader on 3,120,000, with Brett Kennedy in second place on 2,035,000 and Tony Bedford third on 1,150,000, closely followed by Victor Crespin with 1,125,000. Peter Brackely, Bijay Parkash, Gareth Smith, Maz Bako and Adam Phillips completed the final-table lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Crespin was the first casualty, followed by Bako and after play continued for two hours without an elimination, the final seven struck a deal that locked up \u00a37,000 for each of them, leaving \u00a315,000 on top.<\/p>\n<p>The exits of Smith, Kennedy, Phillips and Bedford heralded another deal, with chip leader Eminoglu suggesting his two opponents take \u00a34,500 each, leaving the trophy and \u00a36,000 for him.
