The first big winner of 2015 was Phillip Corion, who took down the Genting Poker Link South from 2-4 January.

Luton has proved a happy hunting ground for Corion, who finished runner-up in the GUKPT Luton Main Event in October, and he added another £11,100 to his bankroll after topping a 312-runner field in the £150 buy-in event at the Genting Club.

After working his way through a final table that included Stacey Savage, Steve Spring and David Anderson, Corion saw off the challenge of Steve Montague to claim his second five-figure score in the space of three months.
