Newman masters Bristol challenge

Series five of the £200+£20 Rainbow Bristol Masters from 2-3 August 2014 attracted a field of 124, plus 11 rebuys, for a total prize pool
of £27,000... a third of which went to champion David Newman.

Newman defeated Antonio Pietragalla heads-up to take home £8,260, with runner-up Pietragalla scooping £5,000 along with third-place finisher Aaron Wilson after a deal was reached with three players remaining.

Maz Bowers finished fourth for £2,190, Yen Soh bagged £1,540 for fifth and Naseem Talukdar £1,050 for sixth.

Daniel Parsonage came seventh for £860, with Timothy Edghill receiving £700 for eighth and Karin Willis £570 for ninth.

The £100+£10 event on the Sunday was won by Chris England, who pocketed £1,360, while James Simms won the £50+£5 on the Friday night for £1,920.
