Petrou deals his way to Bristol Masters title

The only Welshman at the table, Vasos Petrou, took the title in series six of the Rainbow Bristol Masters from 4-5 October after a four-way deal saw the remaining £20,000 in the prize pool evenly split with Jake Dursley, Neil Whitby and Yadi Ahmadi.

A total field of 136 players, plus 19 rebuys, put £31,000 into the prize pool for the £200 + £20 main event, with Neil Brown finishing in fifth place for £4,630, Darren Rice collecting £1,240 for sixth, Fernando Garcia £960 for seventh, Harrison Smyth £780 for eighth and Andrew Fleming £650 for ninth.

The £100 + £10 Sunday side event went to Adrian Coombes, who did a deal heads-up with James Tierney, both players pocketing £1,410.

The £50 + £5 event on Friday attracted 94 entries and 18 rebuys for a total prize pool of £5,600, with Kristian Yordanov beating Lee King heads-up to collect £1,280, with King taking home £960 as runner-up.
