Tracey Masters the field at the Maldron

The €25,000 guaranteed Boylepoker Masters attracted 226 entries, with Adrian Tracey scooping €6,040 as champion at the Maldron Hotel in Dublin on 30 November.

The €130 + €20 one-day event generated a total prize pool of €29,380, with Tracey doing a deal with John Weafer heads-up to take the title.

When the nine-handed final table was set, Tracey (1.355m) was the only player with more than a million chips, with Jay Danter a distant second on 842k and Robert McGurick third on 767k, closely followed by Istavn Szakacs with 735k.

Next came Weafer (457k), Kevin Malone (394k), Cecil Johnson (387k), Ben Reeves-Smyth (356k) and Dara O'Kearney the short stack on 56k.

Unsurprisingly, O'Kearney was the first out, followed by Malone, Danter, Johnson, Szakacs, McGuirk and Reeves-Smyth, with Weafer the runner-up for €5,260.
