December is traditionally the season of Christmas Crackers and this year was no exception with the Unibet Christmas Cracker taking place at Aspers Casino in London from 18-21 December, the North West Christmas Cracker in Bolton at the G Casino on 21 December and the Edinburgh version at the Genting Club from 27-29 December.

At Aspers in Stratford it was Modestas Skersys who took down the £200 Unibet event, beating Erol Taylon heads-up to claim the £11,720 top prize.

In Bolton Greg Hunt topped a field of 630 runners to claim the North West Christmas Cracker, repeating his win in the same event in 2013.

Hunt pocketed a post-Christmas of bonus after working his way through a final table that included Rob Judge, Atif Malik, Nick Tomsett and Lee Astley.

The final pair agreed a chop with runner-up Reyaaz Mulla turning his £100 buy-in into an impressive score of £12,960 with Hunt walking away with £14,500.

At the Genting Club in Edinburgh Paul McTaggart pulled a cracker worth £8,550, with William Leckie scooping £6,110 as runner-up.
